Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • We accept only original, unpublished manuscripts. Authors must ensure the work is their own, free from plagiarism or self-plagiarism, and that it respects all third-party copyright regulations.
  • The text must not include defamatory, illegal, obscene, unlawful, privacy-invasive, hateful, xenophobic, ethically objectionable, threatening, or law-disrespecting content.
  • The file will be sent in Microsoft Word, RTF or Open Office File format. Manuscripts in PDF format are not accepted.
  • The length of the article is between 4,000 and 8,000 words (abstracts, keywords and bibliography are excluded from this calculation).
  • The text meets IEEE bibliographic requirements and there are no references in the bibliography that are not cited in the text.
  • The text must be single-spaced, use a 10-point font, and apply italics instead of underlining (except for URL addresses). All illustrations, figures, and tables should be appropriately placed within the text, following the instructions outlined in the official template.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • The document is free of data that identifies the author and co-authors to ensure an anonymous evaluation of the article. Please note that in the registration. Only a maximum of 5 authors are allowed.

Guidelines for authors

Publication Costs: There are no costs associated with the submission or publication of articles in this journal.

Open Access: The journal offers open access under a Creative Commons CC BY license, allowing authors to retain the rights to their work and maximize its visibility.

Similarity: Authors must ensure that the similarity percentage does not exceed 10%. They can use Turnitin or iThenticate.

AI Writing Report: Ensure that the AI-assisted writing report does not exceed 20% (generated with Turnitin).


Instructions for the use of the Word Template for Article Submission

In order to ensure the correct presentation of your article and to facilitate the evaluation process, we ask you to use the Word template provided by the journal. Please follow these instructions when writing your manuscript:

1. Download the template: Be sure to use only the official template available on the journal's website.
2. Maintain the established format: Do not make any changes to the style, margins, headings or formatting of the document.
3. Complete the mandatory sections: Include all the required information in each section, such as title, abstract, keywords, content development, references, among others.
4. Respect the content guidelines: Make sure that the percentage of similarity of the manuscript does not exceed 10%.
5. Save the file correctly: Name the file following the format: LastName_Main_ShortTitle.docx.
6. Check before submitting: Carefully check the content and formatting to comply with established editorial standards.

  1. Declaration of Originality: signed by the corresponding author, stating that the manuscript is original and that all co-authors have authorized its submission.

  2. Copyright Transfer Agreement and Conflict of Interest Statement: duly signed by each author, in compliance with international transparency standards.

  3. Authorization for Use of Copyrighted Material: required if including previously published images, figures, or textual excerpts. No formal document is necessary; having citation or authorization backup is sufficient if requested. If not applicable, this requirement can be omitted.

It is important to emphasize that once the editorial process has started, changes in authorship or the fundamental structure of the manuscript will not be accepted.


General Requirements

  • Authors are responsible for the accuracy of citations, diagrams, tables and maps. Verify that all data are correct before submission.
  • Avoid including images or graphics irrelevant to the content of the article.
  • Keywords: They are essential for positioning in search engines and databases. Be sure to choose clear and precise keywords that reflect the main themes of your work.

Formatting Requirements

  • Graphics and images should be crisp and easy to interpret. No image quality enhancement will be made during the editorial process.
  • All images, graphs and tables should include a descriptive title and source if applicable.
  • Images, graphs and tables should be mentioned in the text.
  • Avoid the use of advanced Word functions, such as drawing objects and automatic tables of contents.

Bibliographic References

  • The format of citations and references should follow IEEE style. Be sure to include up-to-date references, preferably from the last five years, to increase the relevance and acceptance of the article.
  • Authors are encouraged to use bibliographic managers such as Mendeley or Zotero to ensure consistency in citation formatting and to facilitate the organization of references.
  • Minimize the use of footnotes unless strictly necessary for additional clarification.

Manuscript Submission

  • Before submitting your article, be sure to comply with all of the above guidelines.
  • All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal's OJS (Open Journal Systems) platform. Log in or register to complete the submission process.

Copyright Notice

Authors retain the copyright of the articles they publish in CISAI. By accepting the publication of their work, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to distribute the article under the terms of the Creative Commons License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0), in accordance with the conditions previously stated. Authors are entitled to reuse their work in other publications or presentations, provided that the original source is properly acknowledged.

Likewise, authors authorize CISAI to include their article in academic databases, institutional repositories, and digital preservation platforms in order to ensure its visibility, accessibility, and long-term preservation.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
